Training for organisations

The Family Separation Clinic is internationally recognised for its expertise in childhood relational trauma and disorganised attachment, particularly within the context of divorce and family separation. Sharing our knowledge, experience, and best practice is central to our mission. To date, we have delivered training to organisations employing social workers, therapists, psychologists, lawyers, judges, and a wide range of other professionals across Europe, the United States, and beyond.

Our professional training programmes are designed to build on participants’ existing skills and knowledge by examining these issues through the lens of the child. The content is grounded in established theories and practices, drawing on attachment, psychodynamics, relational trauma, neuropsychology, structural therapy, and a child protection framework.

The aim of our training is to equip professionals with the ability to:

  • differentiate and understand the complexities of the problem
  • recognise the pressures placed on the child
  • implement structural interventions that restore healthy integration and wellbeing.

By developing these competencies, professionals are better able to prevent relational trauma from creating long-term vulnerabilities and increasing risks to children’s psychological and psychiatric health.

Our approach to training is both experiential and dialogic, encouraging participants to actively engage and translate learning into practical strategies relevant to their everyday practice. We also collaborate with organisations to tailor content to the specific needs of their teams, ensuring maximum impact.
